We run daily departures to the Trollfjord all year from the port of Svolvær. The route may vary according to conditions.

 

The Trollfjord is one of the most visited nature attractions in Lofoten. The fjord is a sidearm the Raftsund east in Lofoten. The fjord is 2 km long, and only 100 meters wide at the most narrow. The steep mountains surrounding the fjord are between 600 and 1100 meters high. The fjord has also played an important part in our fisheries. The battle of the Trollfjord in 1890 is immortalized through Johan Bojer`s novel, «The Last Viking», and one of painter Gunnar Berg`s (1863-1893) main works. On land or at sea you will experience mountains that rise up to 1000 meters directly from the sea. And experience a buzzing birdlife with eagles hovering, screaming seagulls, and puffins hunting for food! With our RIB boats, you get closer to the elements! Lofoten Explorer has a total of 4 boats in their fleet. 2 x Rib Unlimited 36 that got 2 Yanmar 315 hk inboards. 1 x Rib Unlimited 36 that got 2 Mercury 335 hk inboards. And at last 1 x Rib Unlimited 32 that got 2 Mercury 300 hk outboards. The boats are extremely seaworthy and used within military, offshore, and rescue.
